Karaganda State Technical University History
Karaganda State Technical University was established in the year 1953. It is a public university which is situated in Karaganda in Kazakhstan. It was started as Karaganda Mining Institute, but was later transformed to Karaganda Polytechnic Institute and then to Karaganda State Technical University.
Karaganda State Technical University Programs, Courses and Schools
Karaganda State Technical University is organised into eight academic faculties, 30 departments, five institutes and various study and research centres. It offers bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programs. Other courses include research, study abroad program and foreign language courses.
Faculties recruited by the university are qualified from the known universities and are more than 1000 in number. Students can also apply for innovation and entrepreneurial programs, virtual learning, distance education and scholarship programs. It is the home to more than 10,000 students guaranteeing them with 95% employment rate.

Students have facilities like cafeteria, sports courts, recreational area, fitness centre, cultural rooms, playing rooms, labs, innovation centre, campus security, anti-corruption council, auditorium, halls, multipurpose rooms and healthcare centre. Publishing house is the part of university media. Student associations organises various gaming activities throughout the year.
Central library is the digital library equipped with books, magazines, repositories, catalogues, research guides, exam papers, study material and journals. Databases, e-resources, computer systems, tutorials, study rooms, help centre, online services, borrowing services and scanning services are available.
